Overview
As the saying goes - " Sailors don't give up sailing - they just go Semi Displaced ! "
That's precisely what we did when we converted from our sailing Ketch to Power. We wanted a safe and sturdy craft that could gently cruise at river or canal speed and get a move on, when needed. She loafs along gently at 4 Knots or cracks along at a top speed of 22 Knots. Her height above sea level of just 2.7 Metres is ideal for french canal cruising
With tanks full, her endurance range at 22 knots is around 220 miles with 20 % safety margin ( As per Motor Boats Monthly Report September 2000 ). However, consumption reduces sharply at lower speeeds.
She has 4/5 berths within the forward cabin, dinette area and pilot house.
There are less than a handful of British built boats that can be truly called "Sea Worthy" and the Hardy is certainly one of them. As the name suggests - she is a tough sea going craft. When the going gets tough, the tough get going ! She is certainly not a plastic bath tub with engines !
She was launched in 2001 and we are the second owners to have looked after her, with well deserved, loving care. She is equipped with everything that could be useful for a cruising Motor Craft, including a new and unused holding tank system for cruising inland rivers, canals or abroad, such as France, Sweden and Denmark, where holding tanks are required by law.

She is now fully serviced, fully fuelled, antifouled and ready to go for the season. She is out of the water ashore to be evaluated by a buyer.

And most importantly - she is maintained and serviced through the year as and when necessary and not just during the winter layup by a highly skilled marine engineer!
